Longshore Worker Fatally Crushed Between Two Laden Mafis (aka Cassettes; Roll-Trailers) Aboard Ro-Ro Ship  [Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy – 26 January 2024]

Information coming to Blueoceana Company reveals that a fifty (50) year old longshoreman working aboard the Ro-Ro vessel M/V ESTRADEN (See photo below) was apparently caught between one stationary (stowed) and one moving, container laden mafi trailer and suffered immediately fatal injuries as a consequence.

Sr. Raffaele Massa was engaged in unstipulated cargo discharge duties aboard the vessel when the accident occurred the morning of January 26, 2024 at the Grendl Marine Terminal in the Sardinian port of Cagliari.
