Young Docker Fatally Injured in Shipboard Fall Accident [Rotterdam, Netherlands – 02 December 2019]

While local news media sources available to Blueoceana Company reveal virtually nothing, we have received an initial (very brief) report that a 25 year old longshore worker was killed in an accident at what we believe is the ECT facility at Rotterdam port yesterday.

The initial report appears to indicate a shipboard venue, however, we can’t be completely certain about that (or any other) aspect of the incident that claimed this young man’s life.

We have, however, sent inquiries to sources at Rotterdam and hope to be able to update this post with further particulars in the fullness of time.

UPDATE: 03 December 2019; 9:45 AM EST

Sources at Rotterdam have indicated that the accident victim (known now only as “Jos”), is said to have fallen from a shipboard stack of containers.

Research has now uncovered a series of media accounts that chronicle yesterday’s accident. Links to them are provided below.

Also, the identity of the young lasher has been confirmed as being Mr. Yoshi Han
