Bermuda Dockworkers Honor Fallen Colleagues  Fatally Injured Recently at Barbados; Antigua  [10 October 2023 – Hamilton, Bermuda]

Friends at Hamilton port, Bermuda have informed us of the recent workplace deaths of two longshore workers at the Caribbean ports of St. John’s (Antiqua) and Bridgetown (Barbados), and the tribute offered in their memory this week on the Bermuda waterfront.

In late July, Mr. Denroy Harrigan, a marine terminal worker at St. John’s was “crushed by a truck” at a waterfront facility at that port in what has been admitted to be a distracted driving incident.

On 29 September 2023, Mr. Jeffrey Broomes, a longshoreman at Bridgetown was fatally crushed by a fallen container.
