Subsequent to this accident, Blueoceana Company has come to understand that serious allegations dealing with the manner in which the stevedoring firm at Los Angeles behaved in the direct aftermath have arisen.
Such allegations are set out in a letter sent to the stevedore of record by the Maritime Union of New Zealand. We’re posting the letter, but remind readers that, at present, the complaint therein appears to be the product of hearsay. Nonetheless, we intend on monitoring this matter as it matures and will provide further information as it becomes available.
