Port Worker Suffers Fatal Crushing Injuries, Caught Between Truck and Lifting Appliance  [Puerto Rosario, Argentina – 02 May 2019]

Blueoceana Company is in possession of late arriving news, which speaks to a fatal accident that claimed the life of Ms. Danisa Gabriela Ortega, a 24 year old female longshore worker in the employ of Terminal Puerto Rosario (TPR) on May 2, 2019 at Puerto Rosario port, Argentina.

Puerto Rosario is located on the ParanĂ¡ River, approximately 340 miles upstream from Buenos Aires.

Media accounts (See links below), provide that Ms. Ortega was backed into by a truck and pushed into a “lifting device.” In sum, caught in the bight, between a moving object and a fixed object. An unconfirmed source believes that fixed object to be a mobile harbor crane.
