Dock Worker Plunges To His Death at Delaware River Bulk Cargo Terminal [Claymont, Delaware – 22 February 2018]

Information coming to Blueoceana Company this evening, relates that a 62 year old marine terminal worker died earlier today as his bulk cargo-moving, frontend loader plunged off “an elevated pier” and into the Delaware River at Claymont, Delaware (USA).

We provide links (see below) to the most comprehensive (such as it is) media reports available, and will update this post should further facts come into our possession. The worker’s identity is presently unknown [see updated link below], but we do understand that the personnel at the Oceanport facility are unrepresented by a labor organization.

Notwithstanding, we were able to obtain photographs of the facility, the operations conducted there and this morning’s rescue/recovery efforts. Please find them posted below.
