Staff Mechanic Fatally Injured in Vehicular Accident at Terminal Gate [Port Everglades, FL ~ 10 February 2016]

While many of the specifics are unknown at this point in time, Blueoceana Company has been made to understand that yesterday evening a 70 year old mechanic working at the Sun Terminals leasehold in Port Everglades was struck and killed by a commercial motor vehicle at the terminal’s gate. To our knowledge, Sun Terminals (a non-ILA stevedore/marine terminal operator) has one principal ocean carrier client at Port Everglades, King Ocean Services.
