Longshore Worker Fatally Injured in Marine Terminal Vehicular Accident [Santos, BR ~ 28 January 2016]

This afternoon at Santos [Brazil] port, we understand that a 45 year old dock worker (pictured above) was fatally injured: the victim of a struck-by-forklift accident. In speaking with friends on the ground there, we are made to understand that a principal cause of this accident will likely be the driver’s obstructed forward view. We are told that the driver was moving forward with several, large bales of wood pulp on the blades of his machine’s forks.
